Siam, 1874:
A power-struggle has broken out. Siam’s king has initiated reforms that have resulted in a clash between the Malays, Lao, and Royalists. The appearance of unity, however, must be preserved or the British may move in and make a colony out of Siam.
Will the Siamese succeed in this tightrope walk and maintain the nation’s freedom?

This game is such value for money.An almost-masterpiece by Peer Sylvester and published by interesting company Histogames.
The setting is 19th century Siam (Thailand). Counter-intuitive, brain-burning strategy with a unique mechanic: You try to strengthen your influence over the seemingly-winning faction (acquiring cubes of that color) but in doing so you must inevitably weaken that faction on the board – thus hurting the chances of that very faction. Marvellous. Just marvellous.
A typical game session would take 40-60 minutes. The game I feel is primarily designed for (and really shines with) 2-3 players.
